My Van decided to emolliate itself Friday night thanks to a failed wiring harness. A should-have-been replaced harness that was splashed with battery acid six years ago ignited and destroyed my garage and melted my mini.
Got a new Van from Carmax with warranty. Got an Abarth with $6,500 in 2013 rebates. Hopefully I can get all new tools and much stuff that was burned and melted.
Thank goodness for the Fire Department and Farmers!

Luckily nobody was hurt!
What inspired you to get another Chrysler product?

The old one was such a hot ride, he had to have another?

Everyone is safe and the firewall did it's job protecting the other side of the house. But yes, a major pain dealing with four different claims, investigators, etc...

Before the Van burned it was a great car with 80,000 miles and no issues. With kids and for the sake of fuel mileage, you can’t beat a minivan. The Chrysler twins have good power, value and with the new motor they get 25-30 MPG HWY. I did make sure to get the Carmax bumper to bumper warranty on the Van.
The 500 also came with a 100K mile bumper to bumper warranty as well.

dayum, well... awesome Abarth :]

Thank you. Compared to the Mini, the Abarth is a crazier little hatch, especially with the open exhaust. The Mini corners better and has a better seating position but the Abarth ended up being about $10k cheaper. I don't want another BMW maintenance horror.
The Abarth really needs to be lowered a couple inches, with the stock springs it feels a little top heavy. For gosh sake, there is a 3" wheel gap!

Glad your house didn't burn down :o
I'm not a fan of the Dodge/Chrysler/VW van but their Stow N' Go seats make me go
Every. Single. Time
I MEAN. WHAT A GREAT DESIGN.

Totally!
I fill up the Van with 3 kids, camping stuff and two KLX110 dirt bikes. We stuff the floor cargo hatches with all of our sleeping stuff. We get to the site, unload the van, fold the seats into the floor, and bam! -Insulated quiet tent that sleeps 1 Adult and three little kids. No seat removal required.

My family is definitely a Sienna biased family when it comes to minivans. But whenever we rent a Caravan or a Town and Country and I see those seats I'm just like.
THOSE ARE SO AWESOME IT PISSES ME OFF.

Timing chain, valve cover with stupid integrated PCV, intake valve walnut blasting, clutch, and a turbo that was showing signs of going out at 80K miles... The Mini was costing me about $2,000 a year in repairs, with me doing all the damn work.
It will be so nice to just add gas and oil.

exactly, I do all my work also. One day I'll own a car with a maintenance plan and bumper to bumper warranty. People here clown on Camry's and Corollas, but at a certain point in your life, those things just make sense over busting ass every weekend lol.

If the Abarth was the most practical solution I decided on then I hope I am still doing something right.

OMG. Well now you have a much nicer line up. But damn, do you wish you drove them one last time?!
